Life in the Fast Lane

This weekend we packed up my folks and the dogs, and headed to Indian River Inlet. The Delaware Department of Transportation opened one side if the brand new bridge for pedestrians. It was a beautiful, sunny (though windy) day, and a pretty thrilling view!

Semper Vi

I bought a mix of Sempervivum plants for a planter last summer.
While they spent their first year looking pretty sedate, the Sempervivum tecorum is producing some exotic-looking blooms!

Fleeing to the Flea

This morning I took off with Becky and Alicia to Zerns, a gigantic flea market in Gilbertsville, PA- about an hour northwest of Philly.


In addition to acres of kitschy knick knacks, Zerns also has an array of food vendors. We decided on this "Seafood Snacks" booth. Here are Becky and Alicia getting ready to chow down.

Daisy, Daisy

Today we walked to our neighborhood plant shop, Urban Jungle, and picked up some cute English daisies. It's a good thing we walked and had little carrying capacity, because I'm always tempted to buy every plant they have!

Good as New

Our pair of living room easy chairs returned from the upholsterer yesterday! The cats are wasting no time trying them out. Ironically, the fabric pattern is based on "ikat" textiles!

Tulip Trees- the Prettiest Time of Year
